- Step 1: Ensure Connection to the Dedicated GPU
- The Type-C, Thunderbolt, or MiniDP ports on a laptop may be driven by either the integrated graphics or the dedicated graphics card. The Pimax headset must be connected to a port that is directly linked to the dedicated GPU.
- Check the manual: Refer to your laptop's official specifications to confirm which video port supports "Direct GPU Connection" or "Discrete Graphics Mode."
- Enter BIOS settings:
Restart your computer and repeatedly press F2, Del, or F12 (the key varies by brand) during startup to enter the BIOS interface.
Look for options such as Graphics Configuration, Switchable Graphics, or Display.
Change the mode from "Hybrid / MSHybrid" to "Discrete Graphics Only" , then save and exit.
- Step 2: Use the Correct Adapter or Cable
- If your laptop does not have a standard DisplayPort (DP) port, do not use an HDMI to DP adapter!
- Recommended: Use a MiniDP to DP or USB-C (Type-C) to DP adapter or high-quality cable.
- Specification: The adapter/cable must explicitly support the DisplayPort 1.4 protocol and ideally support 8K@60Hz output to ensure sufficient bandwidth for the Crystal series headset.
