A: This symptom means the system or an application cannot capture audio from the headset microphone, for example no waveform when recording, no input in voice calls, no voice in in-game chat, or no normal Pimax microphone input device visible in Windows. Please troubleshoot as follows:

  1. Reconnect the headset: Unplug and replug the headset's USB connection, preferably into a rear USB 3.0 or higher port on the motherboard. Avoid USB hubs, extension cables, or front-panel ports.

  2. Check the system input device: Open Windows Settings > System > Sound > Input, confirm the input device is set to the Pimax microphone, and check whether the input volume bar changes when you speak.

  3. Check recording device status: In the Windows Sound Control Panel's Recording tab, confirm the Pimax microphone is not disabled. If it is disabled, right-click and select "Enable," and you can set it as the default input device.

  4. Check volume and mute status: In the device properties, confirm the input volume is not set to 0, and make sure the relevant application has not muted the microphone or selected another input device.

  5. Check microphone privacy permissions: Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone, turn on "Microphone access," and allow apps that need the microphone to access it.

  6. Close software occupying the microphone: Close other software that may be using the microphone, such as voice chat, recording, streaming, or meeting apps, to avoid multiple applications occupying the input device at the same time.

  7. Check Device Manager: Check the Pimax audio device status under "Audio inputs and outputs" and "Sound, video and game controllers." If the device shows an error, uninstall the audio device, restart the PC, and reconnect the headset so the system re-detects it.

  8. Reinstall software and audio driver: Update or reinstall Pimax Play, and confirm the audio component of the graphics driver is properly installed. Restart the PC and test microphone input again.

  9. Cross-test: If there is no sound only in a specific game or application, reselect the Pimax microphone in that application, and cross-test with Windows Voice Recorder or another voice app to determine whether the issue is with system input or a single application's settings.
