A: Symptoms: When launching Pimax Play and connecting the headset to light up the virtual lobby, the core planet (moon) surface in the Home space's main view renders incompletely, with some latitude/longitude regions showing a gray-black grid.
Before the official underlying graphics optimization update jointly released by Pimax and NVIDIA becomes available, please use the following standard temporary workarounds:
Method 1: Fully reset and upgrade the graphics driver
Use DDU to completely remove residual graphics drivers from the system.
Go to the GPU manufacturer's official website, download and perform a Clean Install of the latest official stable graphics driver.
Driver updates typically include security fixes for multi-view rendering pipelines, which can effectively resolve this partial rendering failure.
Method 2: Work around the issue by toggling planet surface rendering (highly practical)
When launching the Pimax Play client, if the lobby stutters, temporarily disable "Planet Render" in the client's interface configuration during device loading.
Wait until the client lobby has fully started and firmware and device detection information has finished loading.
Then re-enable "Planet Surface Display" in the settings. The image should now light up completely and at high quality, and it can remain enabled by default afterward.
