Regarding the crash of steamVR encountered by Pitool users, our software R&D team, after log analysis and multi-factor investigation, judged that there are the following two scenarios that are prone to problems.
One is that when the Pitool software is connected incorrectly, the software will be blocked by steamVR. It can be solved by unblocking the add-on;
Another is that the Steam VR startup process is missing or cannot be started due to errors. You can activate the background process of steamVR by connecting the Pitool device page to ensure the normal running of the game. The following are the specific operation steps, please try to fix, thanks.
- Open Pitool and connect the HMD succeed -Automatic pop-up management interface, click Restart SteamVR;
- Enter SteamVR Settings interface, Click UNBLOCK ALL button;
- After Step 1,2 is completed, you need to restart SteamVR from Pitool, be careful not to restart SteamVR from the Steam software.
