Issue Description
When using your Pimax VR device, no sound is heard through the headphones or speakers.
Possible Causes
  • Audio settings may have been accidentally changed or muted.

  • The AMD or NVIDIA graphics driver may be outdated or corrupted.

  • There may be a hardware connection issue, such as headphones not properly inserted or a faulty speaker cable.

  • Sound loss in one ear may indicate a damaged headphone speaker.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Adjust Audio Settings
Go to your system's Control Panel or Settings, find Sound options, and check that the volume is appropriate and the default playback device is correctly selected. If muted, unmute it.
2. Test for Single-Side Audio Loss
For sound loss in one ear, try swapping the left and right headphones to determine where the issue lies.
3. Check Physical Connections
Ensure the headphones or speakers are correctly connected to the device. Verify that the audio cable is fully inserted and that the speaker screws are tightened.
4. Reset NVIDIA Control Panel Settings (if using NVIDIA GPU)
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, select Manage 3D Settings, then click the Restore button.
5. Perform a Clean Installation of Audio/Graphics Drivers
Visit the device manufacturer's official website to download the latest audio drivers and perform a clean installation.
Important Note: If sound is transmitted via the DP channel, be sure to check the NVIDIA HD Audio driver during installation.
