1. LEDs are blinking (red, green and blue)
Error Code : 10500
The headset is stuck in DFU mode, and the corresponding firmware needs to be manually configured.
Solution(s) :
- Check whether the DFU driver is missing. Locate and install the stm_dfu_3040_64.exe at (C:\Program Files\Pimax\Runtime\dfudriver)
- The Guillemot STM DFU Device is in a conflict with other DFU device. Manually uninstall the pre-installed DFU device and manually configure the corresponding headset firmware.
2. LEDs are yellow and blinking (5K series , 8K Plus and 8KX)
Error code : 10500
Check the compatibility of the headset model and use the corresponding firmware.
Solution for non-8KX model :
- Enter DFU mode manually (hyperlink) and configure the safe firmware (P2_RELEASE_M129_save.dfu). After completion, manually enter DFU mode again and flash the latest firmware compatible with the headset.
- The latest non-8KX series firmware is 273.
Solution for 8KX model :
- Enter DFU mode manually (hyperlink) and configure the safe firmware (P2_M296.dfu). After completion, manually enter DFU mode again and flash the latest firmware compatible with the headset.
- The latest 8KX firmware is 299.
3. 8KX connection
Error Code : 10934
Trying to run 90Hz on a laptop or desktop with integrated GPU.
Solution(s) :
- 8KX does not support 90Hz when used with a laptop ; flash the older version of firmware (before 298) and Pitool.
- Disable the integrated graphics card in the BIOS if the computer has one.
4. Revised 8KX(DMAS) fails to connect.
Error Code : 10936
Incompatible, non-RTX Nvidia GPU detected by the headset.
Solution(s) :
- If the headset and GPU are not compatible, please contact with after-sales service to request a replacement.
- Upgrade to recommended graphic card, Nvidia RTX series.
- Flash the “debug firmware” if the GPU is compatible with the device.
5. Headset(s) fail to connect.
Error Code : 1039x
Problem varies based on error code’s last digit and contacting support is recommended for further troubleshooting.

- 10935 (10932)
- Check whether the graphics card model falls within the recommended configuration range and if the graphics card performance is insufficient.
- 10936
- Check all your headset connections (Display Port, USB, power outlet, PC)
- Make sure the GPU driver is up to date.
- Check the cable condition w/o extension cord.
- Check the DP adapter if run with laptop.
- Multiple monitors connection, Pimax only supports the connection up 2 monitors at present.
- If your graphics card is a 3090ti.

6. 8KX connection is unstable and disconnected.
Solution(s) :
- Default cable
- Contact with tech support to retrieve the “debug firmware”.
- Optical Fiber Cable
- Contact with tech support to retrieve the “debug firmware”.
